Jim Breedon is a nationally known educator and inspirational speaker. Coupling years of nursing experience with a passion for advancing nursing practice and patient outcomes, Jim has a unique ability to connect with audiences. Jim considers every presentation an opportunity to motivate, educate and empower nurses. As a speaker and educator Jim combines his many years of personal nursing experience and research to provide audiences with the most up-to-date information available.
Jim has over 10 years of oncology experience, in a variety of settings. He received his initial training at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He has and maintains his Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN). In addition, he is certified to teach the Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course as well as the Treatment Basics Course.
Jim is past President of the Albuquerque ONS chapter and is currently a member of the Rio Grande chapter in El Paso, Texas. Additionally he is a member of the New Mexico Cancer Council and Academy of Oncology Nurse Navigators.
Jim also has experience as a Home Heath Care Nurse and Manager, Medical-Surgical Nurse, Critical Access /Metropolitan Emergency Room Nurse and EMT/Paramedic. He is licensed to practice, as a Registered Nurse, in 26 states. He also maintains his EMT and Paramedic licenses in Florida.
Jim currently provides professional nurse consultant speaker services for Millennium and Eisai Pharmaceuticals. He has also served as a consultant speaker for Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Institute for Medical Education and Research, and The Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing. He is the President and co-founder of Professional Oncology-ER Nurse Consultants. Jim has also been active in community service. Most recently he developed and presented Surviving Chemotherapy at the Consulate of Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
ReNae Dean has over 22 years of oncology experience. ReNae is currently the nurse manager at Hematology Oncology Associates in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has experience in both inpatient and outpatient oncology practice. ReNae has extensive experience as an Infusion Nurse, the mixing and administration of cytotoxic drugs, Team Leader, Nurse Manager, Director of Nurses and Special Projects Manager.
ReNae’s extensive knowledge of oncology nursing, outpatient billing, and management have combined to make her a highly respected member of the oncology community. She is well known and respected by oncology physicians and nurses. ReNae is a member and past Program Chairperson of the Albuquerque ONS chapter and is a member of the New Mexico Cancer Council. She is the Vice President and co-founder of Professional Oncology-ER Nurse Consultants.
